International Day of Yoga 2026 — Yoga for Healthy Ageing

The Embassy of India has shared an important invitation for community-wide participation in the upcoming International Day of Yoga 2026, with this year’s global theme: “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”

As part of the IDY 2026 celebrations, the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, is organizing nationwide and global activities to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through yoga.

🏆 Guinness World Record Attempt

A special Guinness World Record attempt will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 6:15 AM to 7:35 AM. Participants will join an online yoga session through the Ministry of Ayush YouTube platform, contributing to a historic effort to achieve maximum simultaneous participation.

Community members, organizations, yoga practitioners, institutions, and the general public are encouraged to register and participate.

📋 How to Participate

Participants must register by giving a missed call to: 1-800-315-7008

After registration, participants will receive a WhatsApp message containing the session link.

On the day of the event, each participant must join individually using their own device so their participation can be counted toward the official record.

🤝 Yoga Sangam 2026 (For Organizations)

In addition, organizations and community groups are encouraged to register and participate in Yoga Sangam 2026, a nationwide initiative being held on June 21, 2026, alongside the flagship International Day of Yoga celebration.
